Hello everyone, welcome back to what we have done. This post is going to be about everything that we have done the past 12 weeks for this genius hour project. This has been such an amazing experience for all three of us. Our relationship between the three of us has grown tremendously and we are faster, stronger, healthier, and slimmer. Our self confidence has skyrocketed and we are finally happy to see ourselves. We are sad to see this go, but we plan on still doing everything we have to do even after the project is done.
We have cooked food almost every Wednesday and go to Tanglewood most days out of the week. We have tracked our water intake and kept a record of how much sleep we get every night. We have learned from any mistakes we’ve made and we have stopped doing bad habits that may have occurred throughout the project. We have realized that we are not the best cooks, but the easy foods we are able to perfect. Running is not super easy for us, but we have killed everything that we did. We pushed through each week and got through them without wanting to stop. We hate that this is our last blog post, but we won’t stop doing what we are doing. We have started to make our final project and we are excited for y’all to see what we ended up with. It will be better than you think it is. It is little clips of what we have done each week. We hope y’all have enjoyed tuning in and listening to what we have done each week and our journey throughout this whole project. Mr. Barker if you are reading this please don’t give us a bad grade we did work very hard on this!

Welcome back everyone to our new blog post! Hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving. We all stayed home for thanksgiving and stayed away from others because of COVID. That Thursday on Thanksgiving day we ate all the food we could get into our bodies. That next day on Friday we headed straight to the gym and worked off all of that crabs that we ate. Those two weeks that we had to do this blog post we caught up on what we missed in the tenth week. We were back on track and ready to move straight into the twelfth week.
We had been to Tanglewood more and more for these past weeks, we have been running and running more. We have met our times yet, but we are still working on it. We have been eating healthier foods, which allows us to see a difference in the slimness in our body. We have gained so much self confidence throughout this project. Mya and Emily have soccer season coming up soon so running in Tanglewood is just building up their stamina. Emmy has been at Planet Fitness every single day this week. We have been getting more and more sleep which makes us feel so much better going into the workouts we have. Getting the right amount of sleep can make or break your day. We are very sad that this is the next to last week of this project. We have had so much fun throughout this entire thing and we are sad to see it end so quickly. If we could restart we don’t think we would change a thing. We have done everything that we needed to do and more. Our times could have been better, but if we looked back 11 weeks ago we would not have seen ourselves here. This week has been kind of slow for all of us, we have not done as much as we would have liked to. We have been going to Tanglewood more lately, but we have stopped lifting weights as much. We have slacked a little on our sleeping schedule because we have been so busy with other things. Our water intake has gone down because we have been drinking more soft drinks, but that is okay. The foods we have made are getting better and better each week. While Thanksgiving is getting closer we have been trying to workout more and more, but that hasn’t really worked out.
School has been super stressful for all of us, so we have all taken a break from everything that we have been doing. Emmy has been very consistent going to planet fitness and getting what she needs to get done. Mya has soccer going on so that is keeping her occupied, and Emily has Torque and Volleyball everyday. They get their exercise in without having to go to tanglewood and walking/running there. We have had a good time this week with everything. It has been nice to just have a cool down week and not have to worry about what exactly we are going to do each day. We promise we will pick everything up and start back to normal next week. We will be cooking mreo food, drinking more water, getting more sleep, and running more. We have to get ready for our final project that we have to present. We are super excited to finally decide how we are going to show you guys everything that we have done for the past 10 weeks. Everything that we have done up till now will contribute to our final project. We are happy for y’all to see what we are doing. We are not sure if it is just us, but these weeks have gone by so quick. We are already 9 weeks into the project with only 3 weeks to go, and hopefully we will have met our goals by then. This week has basically been the same as far as exercise and eating healthy for all of us. On Wednesdays in the past we have all met up to workout and eat some healthy new recipes together, but this Wednesday was a little different. Due to the fact that the end of this project is creeping up, we decided to get a head start on planning for our final product.
It is a little difficult to plan a final product for the fitness portion of our project. This is because it is hard to physically show fitness, and you can’t see an improvement in a mile time from a picture or video. So that is why we were thinking about just showing you our week to week progress with mile times. We were also thinking about taking some videos while we are running and putting them all together. For the eating healthy part, we have a couple different ideas that we were thinking about. One of our ideas is each one of us would pick out our favorite healthy recipe that we have learned from the start of the project and make it to give to the other two. Another idea is we could all get together one day and pick out a recipe that we all liked and take a video of us all making it and then edit it so it isn’t too long. We are also taking any ideas anyone has into consideration, because our main goal is to entertain everyone. So please let us know of any ideas you may have! This week has been our most successful out of all! For many reasons, but Emily just got her license! Now, it is easier for her to go to Torque (whenever she wants). And, Mya has had her license. Emmy is the last person to get her license, and she still has two months but she still finds time to get her mom to take her to Planet Fitness! On Wednesday, we got together at Emily's house and worked out. We made a plan for the next few weeks, and we cannot wait for you all to see what we do! Yesterday, whenever we were together, we decided to give each other massages. Emmy has a back roller that we pressed on our targeted muscles to help the soreness. All of us have been going heavy with school work and working out, so we did that to ease our muscles for about an hour. We also went to the grocery store together and got a couple of healthy things to eat. A couple of meals that we have planned are listed below: -Roasted vegetable pasta -Salmon and asparagus -Mixed greens salad with chicken and ginger sauce -Broccoli and cheddar soup On Wednesday, we made protein balls. We thought those would be good to eat before working out. They have peanut butter, old fashioned oats, honey, semi-sweet chocolates, coconut, and chia seeds. The last thing that we put together for a healthier diet was lemon-rasberry water. It was easy to make because all we had to do was put the fruits in water and let them sit. After our workout and preparation, we went to Tanglewood to walk but it was too cold so we headed to get a smoothie at the Juice Shop. We felt like our week has been pretty successful! While Mya and Emily are just now coming out of quarantine, there is not much to do. This week we took everything very easy, this is our cool down week. Emily walked her dogs in the neighborhood as much as she could. Emmy went to the gym almost everyday. Mya was going on runs, and everyone was keeping up with their diets and sleep schedule.
